Adding a link in Wordpress

This tutorial was created by me, by request.
DO NOT copy, steal, or redistribute without permission.

*NOTE* -- This tutorial is for those who have a free blog on wordpress.com. Not sure if this is translatable to actual Wordpress...

- First, log into Wordpress.
- Click on "Write a New Post."

- When the WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor appears, start to write some text. Notice how the anchor buttons are not available...

- To add a link, highlight the word(s) that you want linked. Notice how the anchor buttons now appear...

- While your text is highlighted, click on the anchor button.

- The following box should pop up.

- Where it says "Link URL", type the URL to the page you want to link to.
- Where it says "Target", choose whether you want the page to appear in the current web browser, or open in a new window. Don't worry about Title or Class.

- Press Insert.
- The words should now look something like this (the text will either be blue or purple). This means that they are linked.

And tada! You've noww successfully made a link in Wordpress!
